Store Manager - Carmen Randell

Picture
“Make the best of every opportunity and always put family first,” is the motto Carmen Randell uses to help navigate her life.

Making her family her first priority, Carmen decided to start her own residential cleaning business to allow for more time with her two daughters.  She did that successfully for nine years but feels now is a perfect time to start a new adventure.

Carmen comes to Twice But Nice with a great deal of experience working in retail settings as a department manager, front end supervisor and customer service representative, before running her own business.  Her previous experience has provided her with the skills to work with all sorts of people - whether customers, staff, Board Members, volunteers and those in need.

“Starting as Twice But Nice’s new store manager, I feel like I am coming home and coming full circle at the same time,” stated Carmen.  “My love for thrifting started when I was young as a bonding activity with my mom and now that is one of the things I enjoy with my own daughters.  And I’ve been a customer at this store for years.”

“Gardening, biking and hiking are my treasured hobbies and I feel so grateful to live in a community with such amazing trails.  Living in this community for over twenty years has given me such joy and I can’t wait to be part of an organization that gives back to my community while helping the environment.  I believe it is up to us -  everyone - to change and protect the environment.  Little actions lead to big results!” exclaimed Carmen.

As the Store Manager at Twice But Nice Carmen hopes to increase its social media presence.  “Social media is so important to spreading the word of our special little hidden gem!”

Having seen Fort Saskatchewan transform as much as it has over the past twenty years, Carmen feels the importance of the revitalization of its downtown.  “An increase in foot traffic to Fort Saskatchewan’s downtown core would not only be beneficial to Twice But Nice, it would also help other downtown businesses,” added Carmen.
