Grant Criteria & Application
The following guidelines will apply:
1. Only non-profit groups and school programs located within Fort Saskatchewan or the surrounding area are eligible.
2. Funding Exclusions: To ensure our funds are directed appropriately, Twice But Nice will NOT consider funding for:
3. Projects funded should be of benefit to the community at large.
4. Projects should fit one of the following funding categories: Community Services, Arts & Culture, Health & Wellness, Food Insecurity, School Program. The overall impact on the community will be considered.
5. Consideration will be given to the availability of other sources of funding and the due diligence your group has taken in applying for that other funding – e.g., recreation projects may more appropriately apply for recreation grants, but we recognize there may be gaps in funding the whole project.
6. This funding is not designed for capital costs, although small amounts necessary for program delivery may be considered (less than $1,500).
7. Each application will be decided on its merits during that calendar year, and this money should not be considered as ongoing funding for the group.
8. Successful non-profits and applicants agree to have their name and photo shared on our social media (Facebook, website, etc.).
Funding Preference will be given to Projects:
1. Which have a significant impact on our community.
2. With a clear itemized budget and timeline for the project.
3. A clear plan for acknowledging Twice But Nice.
The Group Must:
1. Complete the Twice But Nice grant application form and include a detailed project budget with your submission.The project budget should include all expected revenues and expenses related to the project. Incomplete applications or applications without a project budget attached cannot be considered for funding.
2. Give recognition to Twice But Nice in any publicity:
3. Send a member to our Annual General Meeting:
4. If there are surplus funds upon completion of your project, notify Twice But Nice to discuss the return or re-allocation of the surplus funds.

- For-profit companies
- Operational funding; lease costs, staff costs, admin costs, etc.
- Major capital projects; purchasing equipment, doing building renovations, etc.
- Sponsorships; advertising/brand awareness at ticketed events, sports teams, etc.

- Agree to a cheque presentation photo opportunity at the Store or their Facility
3. Send a member to our Annual General Meeting:
- Provide an update to Twice But Nice on the measurable outcomes (or impact statement) upon project completion.
- Report on how your organization used the funds provided by Twice But Nice
4. If there are surplus funds upon completion of your project, notify Twice But Nice to discuss the return or re-allocation of the surplus funds.
