Joan Prochnau - Director
with thrifted home decor
I have lived and worked in Fort Saskatchewan most of my life. We raised our two sons in this community and over the years I have been an active volunteer through either sports, school council or with my church.
My career of over 30 years was spent at Sherritt in the Accounting Department and later at the Sherritt Employee Credit Union. It was at Sherritt where I was introduced to accounting, finance and fiscal responsibility, thus giving me a strong background in financial stewardship – one valuable skill I bring to TBN.
2023 is my second year as a Director-at-Large with TBN. When I first joined, I never realized the value this non-profit organization brings to our community, through not only reasonably priced items in our store, but also the community grants program, scholarships and emergency support to those in need.
I am grateful to be a part of the team of dedicated staff, volunteers and members of the Board who are doing such valuable work in our community.
