Highlights of the 2020 Annual General Meeting

Following the President’s Report, Nicole Thorhauer presented recently retired Board Members Edna Melnyk and Sharon Trombley with a gift for recognition of their service to the Twice But Nice Board.
Outgoing Treasurer Sharon served on the Twice But Nice Board for six years. Preparing Board reports detailing income, expenditures and asset values, and issuing bi-weekly cheques to the staff. Her experience, skills and knowledge helped immensely to move TBN forward during the pandemic. Sharon was committed to accuracy, transparency and timeliness. She had to dig deep into the financial reports, sat through audit presentations and waded through the budget. All of her efforts through her time with the TBN board were greatly appreciated.
Past President Edna served on the Board of Twice But Nice for thirteen years in addition to other volunteer work she has been involved in within our community. She took the time to govern our organization and provided valuable insight and feedback in addition to her passion, experience, skills and knowledge to contribute to TBN’s success over the years.
In spite of COVID-19 and the temporary store closure (March 16 – July 1), and the uncertainty about the balance of the year after re-opening on July 2, 2020, TBN was able to keep the organization out of the red, however due to the uncertainties of the year donations were suspended until mid-2021.
There was significant turnover in the Twice But Nice Board of Directors. Our President, Nicole Thorhauer resigned, and Judy Rehill has assumed the President Position. Vice President Fran McSween also resigned, Cindy Cook volunteered to fill that role.
The Past President Role will remain vacant for 2021. There are currently two open Director positions – one being the Secretary role. If interested in serving on the volunteer Board of Directors please contact us here [email protected].
