Grant Criteria & Application
The following guidelines will apply:

The Group Must:

- Non-profit groups located in Fort Saskatchewan have priority, but those based in the surrounding area may be considered if funds are available.
- Projects funded should be of benefit to the community at large. Occasionally individuals needing assistance for a special project, not covered by other means, may be considered.
- Projects should generally be of a “social service” nature, and those that are preventative will be given preferential consideration i.e., Family and Community Support Services projects requiring extra funding may be considered.
- Consideration will be given to the availability of other sources of funding – e.g., recreation projects may more appropriately apply for recreation grants.
- This funding is not designed for capital costs, although small amounts necessary for program delivery may be considered.
- The fee structure and fundraising activities of the group will be taken into consideration by the TBN Board.
- Each application will be decided on its merits during that calendar year, and this money should not be considered as ongoing funding for the group.
- Successful non-profits and applicants agree to have their name and photo shared on our social media (Facebook, website, etc.).
Funding Preference will be given to Projects:
- That have very clear beginning and endings.
- That an agency would not normally have undertaken without this.
- Which do not require the employment of permanent staff.
- Which benefit the community as a whole.
The Group Must:
- Complete Twice But Nice grant application form (link below) and include a project/event budget with your submission.
- Give recognition to Twice But Nice in any publicity.
- Agree to a cheque presentation photo opportunity at the Store or their facility (which ever has the most potential for social media coverage).
- Send a member to our Annual General Meeting.
- If there are surplus funds upon completion of your project, notify TBN to discuss the return or re-allocation of the surplus funds.
